MILTON — Lloyd E. Burns, 60, of 1142 Lincoln St., Milton, died at 8 p.m. Monday in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been admitted earlier in the day.
Mr. Burns had been in failing health for six months.
He was born on Aug. 7, 1912, the sone of the late Harvey and Grace Dagnell Burns.
He had been employed by the American Car and Foundry plant, Milton, for 37 years.
Mr. Burns was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church, Milton; the Goodwill Hose Company, Milton; and the Dividing Ridge Hunting Club.
He also was a social member of the Milton American Legion.
He was a graduate of Milton High School.
Survivors include a brother, Nathaniel H. Burns of Milton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Home, Milton, with the Rev. L. Allyn Welliver officiating.
Burial will be in the Milton Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday between 7 and 9 p.m.
