OBITUARY.

"It matters not the time

When we shall end our journey here;

Whether in youth's bright morn or manhood's prime,

Or when the frost of age has whitened o'er our brow."

This beautiful life was given to the world, Tenth month, 27th, 1836, in Rome, Michigan, and was called Eliza L. Coe. She was the daughter of John M. and Mahala Johnson Coe, and entered into rest in the early morning of May 4th, 1909.

On Jan. 4th, 1858, she was married to Silas B. Maulsby. To this union were born three children—Addie, Alma and Frank. In 1875 death entered the home, taking husband and father. Then later on in life, God deemed it best to help care for her children, taking the son and daughter to dwell with Him, in return giving her a granddaughter and grandson to share he love and home both as mother and grandmother.

On Jun. 4th, 1889, she was married to George S. Lowry, and was soon learned to be loved and called the beautiful name Mother, who had indeed been a good mother and companion in this home. Mr. Lowry died Feb. 4th, 1902. Once more her home was broken and loved ones scattered, the only remaining daughter Alma being in poor health in Colorado, could not be with her. Mrs. Lowry then making her home with Clark Hiatt, where many have learned her noble, bright and intelligent life. September 12, 1906, she was married to Charles Stubbs, who survives her. In this home she shared the joys and sorrows with the new children and grandchildren. She was quiet and unassuming in all her work, not desiring that her right hand should know what her left hand did. She expressed to her husband and dear friends a belief that she would not be with them long.

So she passed from our midst a true Christian woman, who faithfully filled her mission. As we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
