Miss Earlene Aurel Coston Skidmore and Verne Robert Markham Maryville were married at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon in a double ring ceremony. The Rev. Frank J. Mapel officiated at his Savannah residence.

The bride was attended by her sister Miss Erma Louise Coston and the best man was the bride's brother, William F. Coston. Miss LaVena Mildred Coston sister of the bride played the wedding march. Miss Gloria Jeanne Eickholt the groom's niece was the ring bearer.

Others present were Mr. and MRs. Frank Coston parents of the bride who were also married by the Rev. Mapel, the bridgroom's mother Mrs. Lucil Markham, the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Eickholt and Mr. Eickholt and Mrs. Mapel.

The bride and groom were graduated from Maryville high school in 1945. During the past year the bride has been teaching in a Nodaway county rural school.

The bridegroom has recently been discharged from the navy. After a brief honeymoon in Kansas City they will reside in Maryville.

Earlene Markham

SKIDMORE, Mo. — Earlene A. Markham, 57, Albuquerque, N.M., died Friday, Jan. 27 at her home following a lengthy bout with cancer.

She was born July 9, 1926, at Skidmore, Mo.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen R. Markham, Albuquerque, and Bruce Markham, Bethell, Wash.; a daughter, Tammy A. Gassaway, Albuquerque; two sisters, Erma L. Bilby, Rosendale, Mo., and LaVerna M. Loehr, Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, William F. Coston, Skidmore, Mo., and Robert C. Coston, Hugo, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be held in Albuquerque. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 Wednesday evening at the Price Funeral Home in Maryville, Mo.
