Richards-Coston

The marriage of Miss Vernice Richards, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Richards of Hinton, Ia., and Robert Coston, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Coston of Skidmore, took place December 29 at Elk Point, S. D.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coston arrived in Skidmore Friday to visit his parents. They will return to Hinton where they will make their home on a farm near there.

HUGO, Okla. (AP)—R. V. Coston, 70, of Hugo died Monday, July 31, 1995 in Dallas Texas.

Services will be held at Skidmore First Christian Church in Skidmore, Mo., at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4 with Vic Coston officiating. Lampton Mills and Coffey Funeral Home will make burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Skidmore. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Coston was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Skidmore, Mo., a son of Frank and Mabel Taylor Coston. He married Velma Ruth Montgomery March 4, 1950. He had lived in Hugo for 20 years and was a member of American Legion Post 411 in Skidmore and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8316 in Hugo.

Surviving are his wife, Velma Ruth; three daughters, Erma Ruth Stevens, The Woodlands, Texas, Joy Dufford of Pittsburg, Pa., and Joyce Dahlman of Yuma, Ariz.; one brother, William F. Coston of Skidmore; two sisters, Erma L. Bilby of Savannah, Mo., and Lavena M. Loehr, of Kansas City, Mo.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
