Clayton Crawford, well known in this section, died this morning at his home in Pasadena, California, according to advices received by his sister, Mrs. William Gallagher of this village.
Mr. Crawford had been an acute sufferer from asthma, and it is supposed that his heart failed in one of the severe attackes which he suffered.
Clayton Crawford was son of the late Daniel Crawford of East Randolph ans is survived by his mother and two sisters. Mrs. Crawford lives at East Randolph, Mrs. Gallagher in Randolph, and Mrs. Bates, another sister at Pasadena. Deceased was about 51 years of age; he has been in California more than twenty years, where he has been connected with business interests. Besides his relatives here he is survived by his wife and one daughter.

The Pasadena, California, Star-News of Friday, November 10, said: Clayton L. Crawford, for the past ten years a resident of Pasadena and will known in the business community, passed away this morning at his home 310 Henrietta Court. Although Mr. Crawford has been subject to periodic attacks of asthma for several years. His death came suddenly he having attended to his duties in the accounting department of the Star-News yesterday. Mr. Crawford, for three years, had been a beloved member of what has become to be known as the Star-News family, and his death came as a shock to his associates in that group. It was the second death to occur recently in the Star-News ranks, George C. Sanderson also connected with the accounting department had passed away last week.
Mr. Crawford was 51 years old and was born in East Randolph, N. Y. He is a graduate of Chamberlain Institute an educational institution of that section, and immediately after graduation entered the employ of a bank in his home tome where he served for several years as assistant cashier. From New York state he moved to Lansing, Mich., and ten years ago came to Pasadena with his family for the benefit of his health. He has been a member of the Masonic fraternity for 28 years and at the time of his death was a member of Corona Lodge, F. & A. M., and Crown Chapter, R. A. M., both in Pasadena. Corona Lodge will participate in the funeral services.
Mr. Crawford is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable H. Crawford, one daughter, Miss Lucille Crawford, and a sister Mrs. J. H. Bates, all of Pasadena, and his mother and another sister at the old home East Randolph.
Friends united today in paying high tribute to Mr. Crawford as a man endeared to them by qualities of gentleness combined with fortitude which enabled him to keep up cheerfully the plucky fight of years against ill health.
