Mrs. Ruth Eisert, 25-Year Resident, Succumbs at Home

Mrs. Ruth C. Eisert, 64, a resident of the Escondido area for 25 years, died at 5 a.m. Easter morning at her home, Route 4, Box 330. She had been ill for two years.

She was born in Aurora, Mo., on Aug. 18, 1893, and married Fred E. Eisert in Springfield, Mo., on Feb. 22, 1916.

The couple came to Escondido from Cambe, Ore. Mr. Eisert was employed as manager of a local citrus ranch for 20 years until he retired last June. Upon his retirement, the Eiserts purchased their own home in the hills near the road to Bonsall.

Mrs. Eisert was a member of the Church of Christ (Christian Church). Among her survivors in addition to her husband, three brothers, Robert Cochran of Clifton, Ariz., Charles Cochran of Los Angeles and William Cochran of Colton, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Godfrey of La Mar, Mo.

Her only son, Fred, was killed in an airplane crash in southern San Diego County four years ago.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Alhiser-Wilson Mortuary at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. H. Dean Sisco, pastor of the Bonsall Community Church, officiating. Entombment will be at Greenwood Mausoleum, San Diego. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1401 Fifth Avenue, San Diego.
