Fred Eisert, 89, prominent farmer and stockman of Dade county, on route !, Everton, for the past 57 years, died at his home, eight miles southeast of Greenfield, just before midnight Thursday. A leader in the founding of the MFA at Everton, and a member of the organization's board ever since it was set up, Mr. Eisert had partially retired from a lifetime of farming, living on the farm he had owned since coming to Dade county.
His health had been failing the past two or more years, but he was not seriously ill until last Sunday.
Mr. Eisert was bron January 28, 1859, in Steele county, Minnesota, the first white child to be born in that county. He left Minnesota when he was 19 to move to South Dakota where he met and wed Eva Moore, April 28, 1884. From South Dakota he moved to Baxter Springs, Kan., where he remained until 1890 when he moved to Dade county.
Surviving are his wife, Eva; five sons, Charlie of Coronation, Alberta Can.; Fred of Escondido, Cal.; Eugene of the home; Francis of Everton, and Kermit, 917 Eagle, Springfield; three daughters, Mrs. Leta Hudspeth, Greenfield; Mrs. Nina Bowles of the home and Mrs. Hellen Pettit, Bucklin, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Lilly, Wilma, S. Dak., 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 1948, at the Senseney chapel in Greenfield, with the Rev. E. L. DeVore officiating. Burial was in Greenfield cemetery.
Warren and Gene Eisert, Otho Small, Calvin Hudspeth, Phillip and Reginald Pettit were pallbearers; and Dallas Thomason, W. S> Terrell, W. S. Wilson, Gus Fruin, E. O. Ball and Ralph Tolbert were honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Eva T. Eisert, 87, widow of the late Fred Eisert, of Liberty community northwest of Everton, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Lockwood Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient four days.
Mrs. Eva T. Eisert, the third daughter of William and Cora Horner Moore, was born June 15, 1865, at Monroe Iowa. She died January 21st, 1953, at the Lockwood hospital. Her age being 87years, 7 months and 6 days.
Her childhood and youth were spent in Iowa, where he father operated a chain of flour mills. The family consisting of four sisters and one brother made their home in the town of Monroe.
When she was in her early teens her mother died and she went to South Dakota to make her home with a sister. There she met Fred Eisert and they were married April 29th, 1883. He was a young homesteader and they made their home there for some years. Tiring of the long hard winters they moved to Kansas. After some years in Kansas they came to Missouri, where their home has been for the past fifty years.
Mrs. Eisert was a member of the Christian Church and a great leader of the Bible and religious literature. She was very industrious and a lover of home.
The eight children are all living: Chas. T. Eisert of Coronation Alberta, Canada, Leta Hudspeth of Greenfield, Mo.; Nina R. Bowles of Everton, Fred Eisert of Escondido, Calif., Helen K. Pettit of Bucklin, Mo; Eugene Eisert of Greenfield, Francis of Everton and Kermit Eisert of Sedalia. There are 15 grand children.
Services were held on Friday, Jan. 24, 1953 at 1 o'clock at the Cunada Funeral Home. Burial in the Greenfield cemetery.

EVERTON — Services for Nina Bowles, 91, Everton, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Russell Chapel, Greenfield, with the Rev. Larken Haden officiating. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Bowles died of natural causes Sunday in her home near Everton.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Dade County.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Pettit, Bucklin, and a brother, Francis Eisert, Everton.

GREENFIELD — Services for Kermit Eisert, 74, Dayton Ohio, a former Dade County resident, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Russell Chapel. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery.
Mr. Eisert died Tuesday in Grandview Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.
He was a member of the Broadway Presbyterian Church, Sedalia.
Survivors include two sons, Eugene, Dayton, and Steve, Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Bowles, Everton and Mrs. Helen Pettit, Lucklin; a brother, Francis, Everton; and four grandchildren.
