Roscoe N. Ervin of 545 Wisconsin street passed away suddenly this morning following an operation about six weeks ago.
Mr. Ervin was born in Foster, Mo., June 22, 1875. He came to California from the state of Washington in 1923. After coming to Pomona, he was associated with the O'Nell Lumber company for several years, retiring about a year ago. He attended the First Christian church of this city and was a member of Compass lodge No. 590, F. & A. M.
Surviving relatives are his widow, Mrs. Helen A. Ervin; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Stanton, Covina; two sons, Harold Ervin, Portland, Ore., and Max Ervin, Springfield Mass.; a granddaughter and two grandsons; and a brother, Gene Ervin in Montana.
Funeral services will be held in Reeves & May chapel Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Rev. Kenneth Holst, assistant pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Members of Compass lodge No. 590 will attend the service in a body and will hold their ritual at the graveside. Interment will be made in Pomona cemetery.

Apparently the victim of a heart attack, Ross Ervin, 66, former well known resident of Kalispell, died suddenly in Pomona, Calif., January 18, according to information received here.
Mr. Ervin was born at Foster, Missouri, in 1875, and grew to manhood there. He came to Kalispell about 1900 and was associated with the O'Neil Lumber company and the Northwestern Lumber company for several years.
He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Francis Stanton of Covina, Calif., and two sons, Max of Ohio and Harold of Portland, Ore. Funeral services for Mr. Ervin were conducted January 21 at Pomona.
