Miss Katie V. Irvine was married to Mr. Daniel Brown Walker of Walker's Creek Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1910, at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. William G. Houston of near Fairfield. Rev. H. W. McLaughlin of New Providence officiated. After a trip North Mr. and Mrs. Walker will make their home on Walker's Creek.

Moffatts Creek, Jan. 39—The many friends of Mrs. Dan Walker, nee Miss Katie Irvine, will be grieved to learn of her death, which occurred at her home on Walker's Creek Wednesday. She was greatly beloved in the community and will be sadly missed.

DANIEL B. WALKER

Daniel B. Walker, 81, died Monday night at the King's Daughters' Hospital, where he had been a patient since Saturday, and in failing health six weeks.

Mr. Walker was born Aug. 3, 1862, in Rockbridge County, a son of James and Mary Brown Walker. He was a farmer on Staunton route three.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katie Sims Walker; brother, R. H. Walker, Canton, Mo.; sister, Mrs. F. H. Montgomery, Montgomery, W. Va.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at eleven a. m. at New Providence Presbyterian Church conducted by the Rev. J. M. McBryde of Augusta Stone Church, of which he was a member, assisted by the Rev. Trimble McCutchen and Dr. Locke White. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dudlay Brooks, Clyde Meyerhoeffer, Oney Alexander, Francis Ramsey, W. M. McCutchan, E. M. Sites, Charles Kiser; honorary, Walker Beard, Herbert Brown, Charles and Benjamin McClung, Finley McClung, Walter Dice, J. D. S. Brown, John K. Patterson.
