DEATH OF MILTON IRVINE.—Died on the 12th day of Nov., 1879, at his residence near Ottobine, Milton Irvine in the 75th year of his age.
Mr. Irvine was justly entitled to that consideration of respect which was givien him by his neighbors and friends. In his walk in life he was not only truly moral in his ways, but was a member of high standing in the Presbyterian Church, in the faith of which he died. For a long period he was honored with the responsible position of magistrate, and performed the duties of which with energy and zeal.
A law-living law-abiding citizen, and a zealous public servant, he has passed away from the labors of this life, to the realities of that world where the christian realizes the happiness promised to him who has conformed to the beautiful and impressive lessons taught by our Savior.
The remains of the deceased were intered in the burial ground, at Ottobine, and an instructive funeral sermon was delivered by the Rev. Mr. Rosebro to the large congregation assembled to pay their last tribute of regard to a departed friend.
