Mrs. Laura E. Green, 80, of 8113 50th Av. S., widow of Col. Joseph Green, a member of the first Washington State Militia, forerunner of the Washington National Guard, died here yesterday after an illness of two years.
Mrs. Green was born in St. Joseph, Mo., and lived in Illinois and Nebraska before coming to Seattle in 1890. She was a charter member of the All Saints Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Green is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Marion F. Cummings, Seattle, and Mrs. O. P. Weed, Malaga, Chelan County; two sons, Alfred W. Green, Palo Alto, Calif., and Joseph Green, Seattle; one brother, Frank B. Cade, Seattle; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday in the Columbia Funeral Home, with burial in Lake View.
