ALFRED CADE, WEALTHY LAND OWNER, STRICKEN

Prominent Citizen of Rainier Valley District Suffers Attack of Apoplexy on Street.

Alfred Cade, one of the wealthiest land owners in the Rainier Valley section of the city, was stricken with apoplexy at 6 o'clock last evening at the corner of Fourth avenue and Madison Street, where he was waiting for a Seattle, Renton & Souther car.

He was taken in charge by Police Sergeant C. G. Carr and sent to the City Hospital, where the doctors hold out little hope for his recovery.

Mr. Cade's home is at 9009 Rainier Avenue. He is 60 years old and has lived in Seattle for the last thirteen years. Among his immediate relatives now in the city are his wife, Fanny M. Cade; a son, F. B. Cade; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Greene, and a stepdaughter, Mrs. L. A. Diveley.

Funeral services will be held at the parlors of Bonney-Watson Co., 1702 Broadway, Friday at 1 p. m. Friends are invited to attend. Interment at Lake View Cemetery.
