Announcement was made today of the formation of a new law firm to practice law in San Diego under the name of Harden & Green and to be composed of Clarence Harden and Phil B. Green.
Mr. Harden has practiced law in San Diego for 15 years, and was formerly an assistant in the office of the district attorney of San Diego county during the administration of District Attorney Utley. He served as president of the San Diego Bar association in 1923.
Mr. Green has practiced law in San Diego for five years, coming to this city from Minnesota. He was graduated from the University of Nebraska law department in 1896, and later held a position on the editorial staff of the West Publishing company, law book publishers. He entered practice in Indiana in 1900, and served one term as district attorney general in charge of important legal matters for the state of Minnesota.

Mr. and Mrs. Phil B. Green will motor to the Redwoods in June on a two weeks trip. Their daughter, Mrs. W. C. De Groot (Louise Green) and Mr. De Groot, will join Mr. and Mrs. Dale Pyle on a three week motor trip to Mexico City in June.

Rites for Philamon Ballou (Phil) Green, 67, San Diego attorney, who died of a heart ailment Thursday in his home at 3792 Thirty - first st., will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Johnson-Saum mortuary chapel. Cremation will follow. Mr. Green had suffered intermittent heart attacks, but apparently was in better health in recent months. After a family Thanksgiving dinner, Mr. Green retired for his customary nap and died in his sleep.
A former Indiana prosecutor, Mr. Green had practiced law in San Diego since 1916. He was born in Waverly, Neb., and educated in the public schools in Greenwood, Neb., studied at Nebraska Wesleyan university and was graduated in law from University of Nebraska in 1896.
Mr. Green was admitted to the bar in 1896 and practiced at Ashland, Neb., for a short time, then from 1903 to 1906, he resided in Ligonier, Ind. From 1904 to 1906, Mr. Green was prosecuting attorney for the 33rd Indiana judicial district.
After practicing law in Red Wing, Minn., from 1913 to 1916, Mr. Green came to San Diego, where he was successively a member of the firms of Harden & Green, Spring, Green & Morrison and Green & Morrison, a partnership in which he was active at the time of his death. He was a director of the San Diego Bar association and a member of the State Bar, American Bar and Phi Delta Phi fraternity.
Mr. Green leaves his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Harry E. Rodges and Mrs. William P. DeGroot, both of San Diego, and Mrs. Jack E. Stephenson, of Glendale; two grandsons, and a sister, Mrs. WIlliam C. Probert, of Wahpeton, N. D.

Private memorial services for Mrs. Edna Green, 84, of 4541 Culberston Avenue, La Mesa, who died Sunday at a rest home, will be at 10 a.m. today in Benbough Mortuary.
Mrs. Green, widow of the late Phil B. Green, an attorney, had lived in Sand Diego County since 1923. She formerly was active as a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, of San Diego.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Winnifred Rodgers, Mrs. Julia Stephenson, both of San Diego, and Mrs. Louise DeGroot of Spring Valley.
