ABSOLVE FATHER

Not Held Responsible for Death of His Son in Crash.

SEATTLE, Oct. 1.—(U.P.)—Earl C. Hall, Seattle attorney, today had been absolved of blame for the automobile crash that claimed the life of his son, Earl C. Hall., 7.

Without mentioning Hall's name, a coroner's jury returned a verdict that found the boy had come to his death by reason of negligence on the part of C. J. Nylander, driver of an oil truck in that he was traveling at a speed too great to avoid hitting the Hall car.

Hall admitted that he had drunk about half a pint of moonshine before the accident in his testimony to the jury, but was strong in his denial that he was intoxicated.
