Death of a Minister.

Rev. Whitfield Hall of Lebanon, Boone county, this state, died one week ago last Sunday evening of dropsy, and was interred in the Eugene cemetery the Tuesday following where one of his children is buried. He is survived by a widow and two children. He was the son of Rev. Colbrath Hall, who died at Williamsport several years ago. He was a brother of Dr. William I. Hall was a former resident of Eugene township, and is a cousin of county Treasurer M. G. Hosford. He carried an insurance on his life for $1,000 in the Macabees. His funeral was preached at Lebanon by Rev. Demetrious Tillotson, a well known minister of this state, who is a native born citizen of Holt township, this county.—Newport Hoosier State

Rev. Hall will probably be remembered by many of our citizens as he formerly resided on the old Hall farm southeast of town.
