Obituaries

Weekly Courant, May 17, 18837442

On Monday, Mrs. Horace Hall, Sr., who has been confined to the house for nearly two years, quietly passed beyond the vail of this life to her home of everlasting rest and peace. She has lived in this place since childhood, and the toils of the early pioneers were well known to her. Mrs. Hall was a christian and friendly lady, highly respected as a neighbor; young with the young, pleasing and entertaining with those of her own age. When the labors of over three-fourths of a century were brought to a close by the frosty hand of death, she met the summons of her God with the true christian-like spirit she had ever possessed. With sorrow we pay this last token of respect to here who has left so many good examples, spoken so many kind words of sympathy, and comforted so often the afflicted and sorrowful. Long will her memory be cherished by those who knew her. The funeral services were held yesterday, Rev. J. Leslie officiating, and mourning friends attended in large numbers.
