Sunday at 12:30 o'clock, the wedding of Madalyn Hall and Wilbur Astel, was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hall, at West Lebanon. The wedding service was red by Rev. Hotelling, the First Christian church pastor. The single ring ceremony was used. Following a dinner to immediate relatives of the families, the bride and groom were taken to Danville, ill., where they took a train for Chicago where the groom has a furnished apartment ready for their home. The bride's outfit was of sand color. Her hat was in tan shades, rainbow fashion, with dress, gloves, shoes, coat and bag to match. She carried roses [and] crocusses. The home was beautifully decorated in spring flowers. Accompanying them to Danville were, George Astel and wife, Mrs. Kitty Astel, aunts of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Crone, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Seeger, Phil Pleasant, Miss Ruth Davies, Paul Clem, Virginia White, Mr. and Mrs. Foster. The bridal car was well placarded and draped with white bunting. They received many beautiful presents. Last week at Williamsport, Miss Edith and Mrs. Evans gave a 5 o'clock dinner for Miss Hall. Plates were laid for twelve and a Little Miss Anna Jane Crone and Corrine Hamilton dressed in white, with wings pinned on their shoulders, wafted in and presented Miss Hall with the gifts. West Lebanon young people have given several dinners and showers the past few weeks for the bride.

Mrs. Madeline P. Bacon, 65, 1944 Baythorne Rd., died Thursday.
Survivors include her husband, William R., on son, Donald Astell of Puerto Rico, and one grandson.

William Russell Bacon, 81, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, in Regency Place.
Mr. Bacon was a manager of the Super Par Service Station in Lafayette for20 years. He also worked as a welder and played semi-professional baseball.
Born Sept. 2, 1912, in Glasgow, Ky., he formerly lived in Remington.
He married Madeline Hall in 1950, and she died in 1968.
Mr. Bacon was a member of the Baptist Church and a 49-year member of Masonic Grand Lodge of Kentucky.
Surviving are a stepgrandson, Eric Astel of Lafayette, who grew up in his home; and two brothers, Ted Bacon of Ambia and Marvin Bacon of Remington.
