Randolph Register, May 19, 19168114
Mrs. Anna Allen Hall, beloved wife of Milo R. Hall, died at the family home on Hall street Tuesday noon, after an illness of more than a year. During the last seven weeks she was confined to her bed and suffered greatly. The funeral will be held at the home this Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock; Rev. Charles M. Bartholomew of Randolph will officiate.
Fern Leaf Rebekah lodge, of which she was a charter member, will attend in a body. Interment in East Randolph cemetery.
Mrs. Hall was born in Providence, Rhode Island, about 75 years ago and was one of three children born to Mr. and Mrs. James N. Allen. With her parents she came to East Randolph when quite young and for many years lived on the farm now owned by Miss Edith Williams. On May 5th, 1861, she became the wife of Milo Hall—one child, Cortez D., was born to them. Beside those already mentioned, a grandson and great grandchild survive her.
She joined the Congregational church when Rev. Mr. Hancock was pastor here, but, since that church ceased to exist, had interested herself in the work of the M. E. church. She was a devoted wife and mother, a kind neighbor and faithful friend.

RANDOLPH, May 8.—Milo Hall, 88 years old, died at home in East Randolph Saturday. His funeral was held this afternoon and was conducted by Conewango lodge, I. O. O. F. He made his last trip as mail carrier on April 29, almost exactly 70 years to a day, after he met the first train that passed through Little Valley on the Erie rail road and carried the mail to Jamestown. When 16 years old, he drove a stage coach with four-horse team, from Ellicottville to East Randolph, where changes of horses were made, on the through trip from New York City to Erie, Pa.
With two brothers, he was a member of Hall's orchestra, well known at Bradford and the oil country 40 years ago. He is survived by a son, Cortez Hall of East Randolph.
