Boy Drowns at Lakeview.

Carroll, Ia., Aug. 3 — (Special)—Charles Helmer, 17 year old son of C. C. Helmer of this city, was drowned at 7 o'clock tonight while swimming at Lakeview. His body was recovered in water about 8 feet deep. It is believed that the youth was seized with cramps.

He was prominent in high school athletic circles. His father is an attorney.
