Paul W. Helmer

MINDEN — Paul Wayne Helmer, 58, of Minden died Thursday in Highland Hospital in Shreveport after a long illness.

The funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. today in Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bark officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Helmer of Minden; three sons, Paul Wayne Helmer Jr., of Anchorage, Alaska, Charles Cecil Helmer of Madrid, Spain, and David Lee Helmer of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Edward of Minden and Kathy Sue Greer of Austin, Texas; one brother, Jim Helmer of Chicago; one sister, Jane Scheer of Spokane, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
