Funeral Services For Robert Oakley Hickman
Funeral services for "Oak" Hickman, a former resident of the Arcadia vicinity, were held April 27 at the Arcadia Methodist Church. Rev. E. B. Jackson officiated, assisted by Rev. Clay Deaver. Rev. Betty Jackson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Abide With Me." Mrs. Joy Lutz was organist. Pallbearers were Clarence Bartels, Elgin Crist, Lloyd Paben, Orin Kingston, Hersil Johnson, and Earl Baillie. Interment was in the Arcadia cemetery with Hastings - Pearson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Robert Oakley Hickman was born July 6, 1890, at Jasper, Arkansas, and died very suddenly of a heart attack April 24, 1964, at Fairbury, Nebraska. He spent his entire life farming. He was the son of Jesse and Anne Hudson Hickman. Mr. Hickman was married to Nina Hogue at Loup City, Nebraska, December 26, 1916. He lived in the Arcadia vicinity from 1915 to 1945 and had lived the last twelve years on a farm near Alexandria, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William; an infant daughter, Maxine; one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert of Elm Creek, Nebraska, and Max of Greeley, Nebraska; one daughter, Mrs. Illene Stutzman of Grafton, Nebraska; two brothers, Leslie of Farmington, Arkansas, and Daniel of Cornelius, Oregon; on sister, Mrs. Julia Burris of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; and eleven grandchildren.

OBITUARY
Maxine Neomia Hickman was born September 21, 1918 and was called from our midst October 20, 1919.
There is left to mourn her departure, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hickman and the host of friends she had made during her short stay among us.
Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 21, Rev. Edw. Boldman conducting the service. Interment was made in the Arcadia cemetery.
