Friends of Kenneth Hoobler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hoobler, 403 South Sterling street, will be pleased to learn of his being selected master baker of the Thompson Baking Co., at Jackson, Tenn.
In a recent issue of the Jackson Sun, daily newspaper, Mr. Hoobler is shown at a new rotary gas fired oven, having a capacity of 350 loaves of bread. It is one of the largest and most modern of bake ovens, and turns out the 350 loaves in 30 minutes.
The Thompson company is one of the largest baking concerns in Tennessee, and the selection of Mr. Hoobler is an excellent tribute to his skill and ability. He was formerly employed in local bakeries.

Kenneth P. Hoobler, 65, Harrisburg, Pa., died early today at his home. He was a Streator natvie.
Services and burial rites will be conducted in Harrisburg, Tuesday.
Born in Streator, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Hoobler. The family home was located at 403 S. Sterling St. Hoobler worked in Streator at several bakeries. He was married in Saginaw, Mich., to Theodotta Schulte.
Surviving are two sons, Robert P., Philadelpha, Pa.; David, Harrisburg, Pa.; and one sister, Mrs. Robert Harwood, Alexandria, Va.

Funeral services for Kenneth P. Hoobler, 64, Camphill, Pa., who died suddenly Saturday at his home, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday from Myers funeral home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, Pa. Burial will be in a cemetery at Pennsylvania.
Born in Streator Feb. 8, 1906, he was son of Robert I. and Mary (Hall) Hoobler. He married Theadotta Schulte, who preceded him in death.
Eight grandchildren survive in addition to survivors listed in Saturday's Times-Press.
Mr. Hoobler was a sales representative for Caravan products.
Mr. Hoobler was a member of Peoria Masonic Lodge and Washington (Ill.) Shriners.
