Hoobler Rites At 2 P. M. Sunday

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon for Robert Hoobler, a member of the city police department, who died suddenly yesterday morning. The rites will be held from the residence, 403 South Sterling street, with burial in Riverview cemetery.

Mr. Hoobler's death was sudden, and at an inquest held last evening at the Howland chapel, was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage. The inquest was conducted by Coroner Dr. H. S. Lester.

FORMER LOCAL RESIDENT DIES

RITES FOR MRS. MARY HOOBLER, SPRINGFIELD, TO BE HERE WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Mary Hoobler, 87, a former local resident, died Sunday at 9 p. m. in her home at 720 S. Pasfield Ave., Springfield. She had been ill for some time.

The body is at the Hagi Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p. m. Tuesday. Final rites will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Wellington Witkop, pastor of Faith Lutheran church, Springfield in charge.

Born in Gessie, Ind., Dec. 11, 1873, she was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. William Hall. She was married to Robert I. Hoobler who died in1939. Mrs. Hoobler made her home in Streator for 50 years until 1954 when she moved to Springfield.

She leaves two children, Mrs. Elizabeth Harwood and Kenneth P. Hoobler of Philadelphia, Pa.

There are five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
