A Pretty Wedding.

Miss Florence Knesel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. .J. G. Knesel of Hidalgo avenue, Alhambra, who has long been that city's prettiest maiden, became Mrs. Ralph Hornby on Thursday last.

The wedding took place at the bride's home and was one of the prettiest affairs of the kind that has been witnessed. Bowers of white flowers of every variety obtainable transformed the house into a scene of charm and beauty, with gay festoons of Japanese lanterns to enhance the brilliance.

The bride's attendants were Miss Octavia Hudson, Miss Julia McIlvane, Miss Ruth Waring, Miss Bertha Butcher, Miss Harriet Dunbar, Miss Pansy Newlins, Miss Julia Martens, Miss Erma Dunbar, Miss Ruth Knesel and Miss Gladys Knesel, the last named being cousin and sister of the bride respectively. Dr. R. R. Meredith acted as best man. Little Louise McDowell, a niece of the bride, preceded the party up the aisle.

The bride's gown was of white Duchess satin and hand-painted chiffon, bordered with a handsome silver fringe. A slight train adorned the gown and the short sleeves were edged with real lace. The bridal veil, which certainly enhanced the wearer's beauty, completed a charming picture, the shower bouquet being of Cecil Bruner roses. The groom's gift was a necklace of pearls which met with much admiration.

Mr. and Mrs. Hornby are spending their honeymoon in Santa Barbara, which is fast becoming the honeymooners' Mecca, and they will reside in Alhambra upon their return, somewhere about September 1.
