The wedding is announced of Miss Mildred Creighton Cattell, of Philadelphia, and Eric Earle Houston, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Houston, of this place, the ceremony having taken place at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Phillip Anns, Philadelphia, on Tuesday evening last. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Dickerson, of the Methodist Church, in the presence of a number of invited guests, the bridal party standing under a bower of palms and ferns, the parlors being prettily decorated with palms, ferns and cut plants for the event. The wedding march was played by Miss Stewart, another niece, who was flower girl. The bride was beautifully gowned in white lingerie, trimmed with lace, and she carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses. The flower girl wore a dainty dress of white organie over pink.The bride was the recipient of many handsome and costly presents, including cut glass, silver, furniture, besides a number of checks. The couple left for a brief honeymoon trip, and on their return will reside in this place. Among the guests present were Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Houston, Miss Mary Wight and Philip W. Tunison, Jr., from this place.

Last rites for Eric E. Houston, 61, of 1827 West Seventy-eighth street, were conducted at Southwest Funeral Home. Masonic services followed at Inglewood Park cemetery.
Born in Somerville, New Jersey, Houston had lived in Los Angeles for the past 16 years. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mildred Houston; a son, Albert Houston; and a daughter, Lois Houston.
