Miss Anna Irvine, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Irvine of this city and Harve Hobbs of West Branch were married Wednesday evening at the court house by Probate Judge Nye. The groom is one of Butler county's prosperous young farmers.
The bride has lived in El Dorado a year or two, is highly esteemed, and the young man who won her has an excellent wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Harve Hobbs, 5008 Irving Dr., will be honored with an open house in the home of a son, Leo J. Hobbs, 3808 Del Sienno, Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Hobbs were married in El Dorado, Kan., where they farmed before moving to Wichita in 1924. Both were active in business here until their retirement in 1946. Hosting the open house will be their children, Mrs. William K. Lane, Kansas City, Mo., and Wesley Hobbs Sr., Mrs. Jesse Foulk and Leo Hobbs, all of Wichita. They also have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Harve Hobbs, 80, of 745 Arapaho, died Wednesday night at his residence. He was a retired auto mechanic and farmer.
Mr. Hobbs was born Sept. 28, 1882, in Butler County, Kan. He moved here 38 years ago from El Dorado, Kan., where he married Anna Irvine on Jan. 24, 1906. He was affiliated with the Methodist church.
Survivors include the widow; two sons, Wesley Il, 1641 Salina, and Leo J., Belton, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. William K. Lane, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Jess Foulk, 3501 W. 47th S.; a brother, Roy, Rosalia, Kan.; a sister, Mrs. Maude Dallke, Amarillo, Tex.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be by Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home.
