He married EVELYN MURREL HUGHES on January 31, 1933 in Grants Pass, Josephine, Oregon.⁸²¹⁹ She was born July 6, 1915 in Orin, Stevens, Washington,^{250, 757} and died December 8, 1946 in Scotia, Humboldt, California.^{250, 10610} She is buried in Masons and IOOF Cemetery, Rohnerville, Humboldt, California.⁴⁵⁶

Humboldt Crash Takes Three Lives

EUREKA—(AP)—Mrs. Claude Irvine of Brown Camp, Calif., died at Scotia hospital last night, raising to three the deaths resulting from an automobile collision Saturday night.

Mrs. Weyland I. Hayslip of San Francisco was killed in the crash, and Mrs. Hayslip's mother, Mrs. Benjamin J. Boggs of National City, died of a heart attack when informed of her daughter's death.

Both Hayslip and Irvine, husbands of the dead women, are in Scotia hospital.
