Mrs. Irvine Passes Away

Mrs. Robert H. Irvine passed away at their home on Sherwood Hill Wednesday morning at 10:30, following a 2wo-weeks illness from flu. She had been doing nursing and was in a more or less weakened condition when the disease attacked her.

The funeral services are being held this afternoon at two o'clock in the Pioneer Methodist church, of which she was a life-long member, conducted by Rev. S. D. Walters. Interment will be in the Masonic cemetery.

Born Nov. 22, 1873, in Jackson county, Oregon, Louisa Ella Gibson was two months and nine days past 54 years of age.

On July 8, 1892, she was united in marriage to Robert H. Irvine in Klamath county, and they have been residents of Coquille for the past sixteen years.

Of the five children born to them, two are living, Ray 22, and Claude 18, who live at home. One child died in infancy; Lloyd died a few years ago from trouble contracted in the war, and a daughter, Berna, died in Kansas four years ago.

Besides those living here, she leaves four sisters, Mrs. Jasper Larimore, Mrs. Abbie Pierce, Mrs. Alice Hartley and Mrs. Josie Vineyard, all of Josephine county; and one brother, Jas. O. Gibson of Bend. Mrs. Larrimore and Mrs. Pierce came in this week to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Irvine was a member of the ladies Circle of the W. O. W., and of the United Artisans.

She was a faithful and devoted wife and mother, a good friend, and her passing is regretted by all who knew her.
