Asheville, Oct. 12. — Mrs. Ruth Sayre-James, wife of Grover C. James, clerk in the local office of the Western Union Telegraph Company, died last night at 9 o'clock at the residence of her mother, in Woolsey, after an illness of more than three months.

Grover C. (Jimmy) James, 126 1/2 Caldonia street, died June 6, after suffering a heart attack. Cremation was in the IOOF crematory.
James was affiliated with the Mount Hermon lodge and the Masonic order, Asheville, N.C., for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ann James of Santa Cruz; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Eakin of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three sons, Grover, William and Robert James, all of Asheville, N.C.
