Mrs. Jessie Lee

BANGOR, Aug. 11 — Mrs. Jessie Lee, 77, died last night at her home in Bangor. She was born Feb. 8, 1873, in Bangor.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin McKee. On Aug. 24, 1898, she was married to John A. Lee, a rural mail carrier in the Bangor and South Haven areas. They had lived in Bangor continuously since his retirement in 1933.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Robert, Milwaukee, Wis., a daughter, Mrs. W. George Young, Lawton, five grandchildren, a brother, Archie McKee, Bangor, and a sister, Mrs. Rognar Oberg, Newport News, Va.

The body is at the Stafford funeral home, Bangor, where funeral arrangements are incomplete.

John A. Lee

BANGOR, Jan.22—John A. Lee, 88, of Bangor died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, Robert, in Milwaukee, with whom he had been making his home for a short time.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1869, in Edwardsburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Abial Lee. He came to Bangor with his parents at the age of four. He married Jessie McKee on Aug. 24, 1898, in Bangor.

He worked as a farmer for awhile and was a rural mail carrier in the Bangor and South Haven areas, retiring in 1933.

In addition to his son, Mr. Lee is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Young, of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Alice Cross, of Bangor; a brother, Isaac Wilcox, of Largo, Fla.; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The body will arrive in Bangor at 9 o'clock tonight. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bangor Bible church. The Rev. Allen Robbins of the Dowagiac Bible church will conduct the services. He will be assisted by the Rev. Grant Shattuck of the Bangor Bible church. Burial will be in the Arlington Hill cemetery, Bangor.

The Stafford funeral home is in charge of the local arrangements.
