Last evening at 8 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. McKee, of Bangor, our talented young attorney, W. G. Bessey, took to himself a "better-half" in the person of Miss Ivy A. McKee, who is also well known to South Haven people. Rev. W. H. Park, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the marriage ceremony.
The wedding was a quiet one, only a few near relatives and friends being present. The bride was tastily attired in white dimity, and the floral decorations included syringa blossoms, carnations and pansies.
After the ceremony light refreshments were served, after which te newly wedded pair drove to South Haven to their own home, at 897 Bailey avenue, which place the bridegroom had already fitted up for housekeeping.
THE TRIBUNE extends hearty congratulations to Mr. ad Mrs. Bessey, and trusts their future may continue as rosy as it appears to them to-day.

SOUTH HAVEN, June 10—Atty. Willard G. Bessey, 79, for some years a practicing attorney in this vicinity and long a prominent political and civic leader here, died at 6:45 p. m. Monday at the South Haven hospital, where he had been admitted June 3 acutely ill.
Atty. Bessey was born on a farm near Berlamont and near the birthplace of the late Atty. W. G. Barnard. As a young man he taught school at Glenn and studied law without taking a formal university course.
He was one of the few attorneys ever having been admitted to the bar here without the benefit of a formal education in law.
He proved to be one of the most able lawyers in the community and was frequently consulted by other attorneys on obscure points of law.
He long was active in political circles and was an ardent Democratic party member until about one year ago, when he switched his affiliation to the Republican camp.
Atty. Bessey always evinced much interest in educational matters, and particularly with education of youth. He fought for a return of the so-called fundamentals of education and decried the "frills" of recent times.
Three children survive Atty. Bessey. They are a son, Boyd Bessey of Paw Paw; and two daughters, Mrs. Joretha Rouse and Mrs. Ila Muccio, both of Chicago. There are six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Calvin chapel here. The Rev.Lawrence E. Tenhopen, Congregational pastor, will officiate. BUrial will be in the Lake View cemetery.
