Dorothy Levers Weds

Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Levers, Oklahoma City, formerly of Okmulgee, announce the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy, to George P. Underwood jr., Oklahoma City.

The double-ring ceremony was an event of April 30, and took place in Oklahoma City, Ensign John R. Kesley served as best man.

The bride is a graduate of Okmulgee High school. She attended the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of El Modjii, national honorary art society. She later attended Hill's Business University, Oklahoma City. She is the grand daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. N. Houston, 519 North Okmulgee.

Mr. Underwood attended Texas Wesleyan college and Oklahoma City university. Until recently he was employed by the American Airlines. He now is serving with the U. S. Navy.

Dorothy. Our precious mother, Dorothy Williams, left us for Heaven at Noon, Thursday, 4-11-96 at age 73. She was born June 5, 1922 to Guy & Hazel Levers, Okmulgee, Ok. She had 1 brother, Houston & 2 sisters, Gwendolyn & Helen. She graduated from Okmulgee High School. She attended business classes at OU, Norman, Ok. & worked as a Legal Secretary in the OKC area, including several years for Bill & Bob Kerr. She was deeply loved by her family and was always there for them, ready to share their accomplishments & their problems at any time. Her biggest delight was in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy trusted Jesus' promises and claimed them over and over for strength - especially after losing her spouse of 38 years, Blackie Williams, 7 years ago. She has joined him in Heavn now. She has anxiously looked forward to Jesus' promises of Heaven. Dorothy is survived by her 5 children, Gary Underwookd & wife Linda, Lucinda Harper & husband Buck, Tommy Williams & wife Beverly, Ryhssa Riley & husband Richard, and Lori Brown & husband, Pet; 27 grandchildren & great grandchildren. Dorothy's favorite charity was Crystal Cathedral Ministries, P.O. Box 106, Garden Grove, Ca. 92642 and her family church Lakewood Baptist Church. Services will be ehld by the family at Lakewood, 2508 Overholser Dr., OKC on SUnday afternoon 4-14-96 at 2:00 p.m.
