Married At Stillwater

Miss Levers Becomes Bride Of A. S. Davis Jr., At Church Event

Of state interest was the wedding of Miss Gwendolyn Lucile Levers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy L. Levers, Stillwater, to Allen Seymour Davis jr., also of that city.

The vows were read Wednesday at 8 p. m. in the First Presbyterian church of Stillwater, with Rev. Allen Seymour Davis, father of the bridegroom, officiating. The church was decorated with fern, palms, large bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums and four floor candelabras holding ivory tapers. White sprays of chrysanthemums marked the pews reserved for the family.

Before the ceremony Frank Hladky, violinist, played "Liebestraum" (Liszt) and Mrs. Kermit William Ingham sang "When" (Earl Benham). Miss Frances Levers, Roswell, N. M., cousin of the bride, lighted the candles. Frank Whiteside, organist, who served as accompanist, also played the "Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin for the processional.

Miss Helen Levers, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Miss Margaret Fenton and Miss Flo Townsend, both Kappa Alpha Theta sorority sisters of the bride, were the bridesmaids.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Hawthorne Davis, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Serving as ushers were Delos Lawton Cook, Oklahoma City, cousin of the bride, and Edward Strode, Stillwater.

At the reception for the families that followed the church service, Mrs. W. D. Gallup sang a solo. The bride's table was centered with tall white tapers and a silver service.

Mrs. Davis attended Lindenwood college, St. Charles, Mo., and Oklahoma A. and M. college, where she was a Kappa Alpha Theta. Mr. Davis was graduated from Oklahoma A. and M. college and is a Kappa Sigma. After a wedding trip, the couple will be at home in Stillwater.
