He married FAY LOUISE FOSTER on June 20, 1949,⁷³⁷⁷ daughter of BLANCHE EDNA RICHARDSON and CLARENCE ELMER FOSTER. She was born August 12, 1923 in Cayuga, Vermillion, Indiana,⁴⁹¹⁷ and died December 31, 1953 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.¹³⁰⁰³

Mrs. Faye Leyland, Former Cayuga Resident, Dies in Chicago Hospital

Mrs. Faye Louise Leyland, 30, died at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 1953, in Chicago Memorial Hospital following an illness of nine months. She had been critically ill for three weeks.

She was bron August 12, 1923 in Cayuga, daughter of Clarence and Blanche Richardson Foster. She attended elementary schools here and high school in Danville, Ill. For the past 10 years she had resided in Chicago.

On June 20, 1949, she was united in marriage to Frank Leyland, who survives.

Other survivors are: a son, Billy Lee, age 3 1/2 years, the father and step-mother of Danville, Ill., and four brothers, Marvin, Tom and Robert of Chicago, and Max of Cayuga, and a step-brother, Daniel Crouch of Danville. Also two nieces and five nephews.

The mother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Watson Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Houston officiating. Interment was in the Thomas cemetery.
