He married (1) RACHEL ANN THOMPSON on August 19, 1858 in Wayne County, Indiana,¹⁶⁷⁵ daughter of JANE RANKIN BLAIR and WILLIAM H. THOMPSON. She was born in 1839, and died between 1879 and 1880.

He married (2) EMMA JONES on November 22, 1882 in Wayne County, Indiana.¹⁶⁷⁵

Injuries Prove Fatal

Nimrod M. Miller, aged 77, died at his home, 119 North Fourteenth street, this morning. His death resulted from injuries sustained when he fell down stairs on Wednesday of last week. He is survived by his wife, and two sons and several children by a former marriage. The funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:30 o'clock at the Elkhorn church. The burial will be in Elkhorn cemetery.

OBITUARY

Nimrod M. Miller, born February 10, 1834, in Union county, Indiana. Died April 26, 1911, aged seventy-seven years, two months and sixteen days.

Deceased spent the greater part of his life in Union County. In 1856 he was united in marriage to Rachel Ann Thompson, to whom ten children were born, six of whom are living: Mrs. L. D. Sheffer, of Williamsburg; Mrs. Frank Ray, Mr. D. E. Miller, Mr. E. E. Miller, Mrs. Cora McCone, and Mrs. Charles Holtkamp. Charles Julia, Willie and Frederick, deceased.

1878 his wife Rachel, was called away. In 1883 he was united in marriage to Miss Emma Jones to whom four children were born of whom two sons survive to mourn the loss of a kind father and the affectionate recollection of his grandchildren of where there were twenty and six grandchildren.

Deceased was a son of Jonathan and Mary Miller.

He moved to the community from Guilford County, N. C., with a large family of children only three of which are living, being David Miller, Sr., of Richmond; Mrs. Mary McComas of Richmond, and Wm. Campbell Miller, of Liberty.
