SUNBURY — Richard D. Moore, 76, of 905 N. Fifth St. died at 2:44 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 1995, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 14, 1918, in Sunbury, he was a son of the late John H. and Bessie E. (Dagnell) Moore. He was married to the former Shirley Bloom, who died in 1953. He was later married to the former Helen J. Musser, who died in 1992.
He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater.
Mr. Moore was an upholsterer employed by Plaza House Furniture before retiring in 1983 after 22 years of service.
He was a Baptist.
He was a member of the Goodwill Hose Company, Sunbury; Hummels Wharf Fire Company; Shamokin Dam Fire Company; and American Legion Victory Post No. 25, Selinsgrove.
He is survived by one stepson, Charles R. Laudenslager of Selinsgrove; one grandson; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Peifer of Northumberland.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, by the Rev. Martin Young.
There will be no viewing.
Funeral arrangements were made by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.
