Parsons-Walker
On Tuesday evening, June 9, 1896, at the residence of the bride's parents at Arlington, Reno county, Mr. Houston D. Parsons, of this city, was married to Miss Ethel Walker, daughter of Rev. Walker, the Methodist minister of Arlington. Mr. and Mrs. Parsons returned to Salina Wednesday morning. Mr. Parsons belongs to one of the oldest families in this county, being the son of Capt. L. F. Parsons and having been born at his father's farm east of Salina.

PARSON, Houston Dexter, born September 3, 1867 in Salina, Kan., passed away at age 92, June 19, 1959, at Apple Valley Nursing Home, Apple Valley, Calif. He had resided in California for 58 years and in Apple Valley area 3 years, a retired livestock salesman; survived by son, Lawrence F. Parsons of Apple Valley; sister, Stella Vanatta of Topeka, Kan., 3 grandchildren, Laurie Parsons Yahn of Reseda, Houston Dexter Parsons of Long Beach, Dee Parsons of Apple Valley and 1 great-granddaughter, Debbie Yahn of Reseda.
