Mary Peck, Took Winter Cheerfully

NORTHFIELD — Mrs. Mary Lillis Peck took the cold Winter days cheerfully.

"These days are cold," Beacon Journal columnist Frances B. Murphey quoted Mrs. Peck in 1962, "but every one makes the count one less until Spring."

Mrs. Peck, 88, of 11463 Valleview rd., Sagamore hills Twp., died Friday at home.

Services will be at 3 p. m. Monday at the Johnson funeral home in Northfield, where friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m. today. Burial will be in Northfield-Macedonia cemetery.

Mrs. Peck was born in Bedford, O. Her husband, Earl R. Peck, died in 1935. She was a member of Old Brick School Society in Northfield.

She leaves three sons, C. Albert of Florida, E. Ryland of Parma and Jay M. of Northfield; daughter Mary Ella Tonsing of Northfield; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Peck was a member of the Northfield United Presbyterian Church, to which memorials may be made.
