Clement C. Reid, who has been located for some years in Los Angeles, and who is greatly interested in mission work in that city, leaves Monday for home after a visit of several weeks here with friends. Mr. Reid will be accompanied by his mother, Mrs. A. D. Reid, one of the older residents of Allen county, who will make her future home in Los Angeles.

Adam D. Reid, for fifty-three years a resident of Allen county, and a former Fort Wayne business man, died at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening at his home in Wayne township, at the age of 72 years. He had lived upon the farm since 1885, having at the time retired from business in this city, whre he had conducted the Fort Wayne Steel Plow works, at the corner of Main and Maiden Lane, for a number of years. His death was due to the infirmities of old age.
Mr. Reid was born in Richmond, Ind., and came to Fort Wayne in 1847. He leaves a widow and five children, as follows: Mrs. William Crane, of Albia, Iowa; Dr. Charles E. Reid, of Wyandotte; Arthur A. and Clem C. Reid, of this city, and Clarence B. Reid, who was living at home.
The funeral services will be announced as soon as the arrangements are completed.

Mrs. A. D. Reid, a resident of Fort Wayne for sixty-five years, died at the home of a son in Los Angeles, Cal., Monday night from the infirmities of age, according to word received by local relatives. The deceased came to this city when a child from Maine. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Allen. She lived here until 1911, when she went to Los Angeles to live with her sons. Mrs. Reid is survived by a daughter and four sons—Mrs. W. M. Crane, of Lincoln, Neb.; Dr. C. S. Reid, Detroit; Arthur A. Reid, of Fort Wayne, and Clem and Clarence Reid, of Los Angeles. Her husband, who formerly operated a plow factory in Fort Wayne for a number of years, died in 1900.
Mrs. Reid attended the first Presbyterian church meetings in the court house before the church was built. Later she was a charter member of the Second Presbyterian church, which is now the Westminster. Burial at Los Angeles.
