The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth E. Reid will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from her late residence, No. 253 West DeWald street. The remains will be taken to Dunkirk, O., for interment.

Dr. Charles S. Reid, aged 75, a native of Fort Wayne and a physician here for a short time before he moved to Ohio about forty-five years ago, died Friday at his home in Detroit, according to word received by his daughter, Mrs. William F. Walda, 1520 East Wayne Street. The deceased had been ill for some time with asthma.
Dr. Reid, a member of a pioneer family of this city, was a son of Adam D. Reid who invented removable plow points and manufactured the product in his foundry on Maiden Lane. Dr. Reid's mother came to Fort Wayne by way of the old Erie Canal.
Funeral services will be held Monday in Detroit. Mrs. Walda left today noon for Detroit. Surviving are the widow, Lena; two sons, Charles S. Reid Jr. and James C. Reid, both of Detroit; the daughter here; two brothers, Arthur and Clarence Reid, both of Fort Wayne, and six grandchildren. Dr. Reid's children were by his first wife, the former Miss Elizabeth Curtiss, of Dunkirk, O., who died in 1893.
The deceased received the M. D. degree at the old Fort Wayne College of Medicine. After leaving this city, he practiced medicine in Ohio for a time before going to Detroit 35 years ago. Dr. Reid was a member of the old Aqueduct Club here and was a thirty-second degree Mason, having joined the order in this city.

Services for Dr. Charles S. Reid, physician and one of the founders of the old Compass Club which later became the Exchange Club, will be held at 3:30 p. m. Monday in the R. G. & G. R. Harris Funeral Home, 4251 Cass Ave., under the auspices of Union Lodge, No. 3, F. & A. M. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery.
Dr. Reid died of a heart attack at his home, 4436 Commonwealth Ave., Friday. He was born in Fort Wayne, Ind., July 31, 1859, and was a graduate of the old Fort Wayne College of Medicine, now Indiana University. For 40 years he was a practicing physician, 23 in Detroit and the rest in various Ohio communities. The old Compass Club was founded by him and a group of men who used to gather in his office here. In addition to Union Lodge, he was a member of Detroit Consistory and Moslem Temple of the Shrine. His wife Caroline; a daughter, Mrs. William Walda, of Fort Wayne, and two sons, James C. and Charles S. Reid, Jr., survive.
