Announcements have been received of the graduation of Miss Fay Richardson, youngest daughter of Chas. E. Richardson, from De Pauw University, Wednesday, June 6th. Miss Richardson is the first member of the graduating class of Cayuga High School of '18, to receive an A. B. degree. She has completed a four year course in Liberal Arts in three years, majoring in English Literature. Miss Richardson is quite prominent in campus activities at De Pauw and is a member of the Delta Zeta sorority.

Boys Club Founder Dies

WARSAW, Ind. — Services for Lee Norman (Pete) Thorn, 93, a retired teacher, coach and member of both the Indiana Basketball and Indiana Football Halls of Fame, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member.

Calling will be 2-9 p.m. today in Chamness Funeral Home.

He was a founder and director 39 years of Baker Boys Club. The club's Pete Thorn Youth Center was named in his honor.

Thorn played on the Wingate High School basketball teams that won the state basketball championship in 1913 and 1914.

A 1924 graduate of Wabash College, he was the recipient of the school's Morris Butler Outstanding Senior Award.

While at Wabash, he was president of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity two years, captain of the basketball team, co-captain of the track team and president of the Wabash Athletic Association. He is the only athlete in the history of Wabash College to win 16 varsity sports letters.

Thorn was with the Warsaw School system 40 years as teacher, guidance counselor, and coach of football, baseball, basketball, and track. He was retired.

In 1959, he was the recipient of the first Man of the Year Award given by the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce.

Thorn was past president and a director of Warsaw Rotary Club and honorary chairman of the Salvation Army of Warsaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Baker Boys Club.

His wife, Faye Richard Thorn, survives.
