At the home of her mother, Mrs. Lloyd A. Stevenson, on Magnolia avenue, Piedmont, at four o'clock this afternoon, Miss Elizabeth Baldridge Stevenson became the bride of Mr. Edward B. Roessler of Berkeley in the presence of nearly one hundred guests. The living room of the home was the scene of the nuptials. At one end an improvised altar was erected before the fireplace. Cathedral candles and a profusion of pink roses, delphinium and pink sweet pears were effectively arranged as a background for the nuptials. Forming an aisle for the bridal party were standards supporting bowls filled with the summer blossoms.
Rev. C. D. Milliken of Piedmont was the officiating clergyman.
Mr. Charles Baldridge of Los Angeles, uncle of the bride, gave his niece in marriage. The bride wore a gown of white sating, the gown designed with long close-fitting sleeves and a V-shaped neckline. It was made en train and over it was draped a veil of tulle and a second veil of lace, an heirloom in the family. Lilies-of-the-valley, gardenias and bouvardia comprised the bridal bouquet.
The bride was attended by Miss Avice Saint of Piedmont, who was gowned in pink lace and wore a small hat to match of deeper pink velvet. She carried roses, sweet peas and delphinium.
Joan Howell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Howell, of San Diego, was flower maiden.
Mr. George Simonds was best man and the ushers Messrs. Chabot Dieckmann, Allan Gillmore, Wintford Saint and David Stevenson, brother of the bride.
The wedding march was played by Miss Beatrice Colton of Paris.
