Betty J. Rollins

Betty J. Rollins, nee Jones, 76, of Fairview Heights, Ill., died Saturday, May 14, 1988, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville.

She was a school teacher for District 189; member of the Illinois Education Association; National Education Association.

Preceding her in death was her mother, Eugenia, nee McCalla, Jones.

Surviving are her husband, Robert B. Rollins; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Anita and Kenneth Lay of Schenectady, N.Y. and Bobbi and Gary Ragan of Edwardsville, Ill.; father, Andy C. Jones of Fairview Heights, Ill.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Laura Ganschinietz of Virginia Beach, Va., Eugenia and Harry Hehner of Belleville, Ill. and Evelyn and Byron Barton of Daytona Beach Shores, Fla.; four grandchildren, Douglas, Marla and Kathleen Lay and Aubrey Ragan.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kurrus Funeral Home, Belleville. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Robert Rollins

Robert B. Rollins, 78, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Fairview Heights, Ill., died Monday, March 22, 1993, at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla.

He was Director of Personnel for over 30 years for White Rogers, Inc., in Affton, Mo.; a member of East Lodge 504 A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Bodies, Ainad Temple, and a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Rollins; parents Robert and Kathleen, nee Rodgers, Rollins; and a brother, James Rollins.

Surviving are Geri Werner of St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters (Betty Anita (Kenneth) Lay of Schenectady, N.Y., and Bobbi (Gary) Ragan of Edwardsville; a sister, Anita Ford of Florida; Mrs. Werner's children, William (Kate) Werner and Kathy Werner, all of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, Douglas Lay, Kathleen Lay, Marla Lay Vaughn, Aubrey Ragan, Joshua and Nathaniel Werner.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville. Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville.

Friends may call after 4:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at the Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville.

Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children or American Cancer Society.
