GORDON THOMAS RODGERS, son of MATTIE IRENE HARGRESS and JAMES DOUGLAS RODGERS, was born October 3, 1888 in Bartow County, Georgia,²²⁹⁰ and died October 8, 1986 in Rome, Floyd, Georgia.^{37, 2290} He is buried in Kingston City Cemetery, Bartow County, Georgia.⁴⁵⁶

He married OLETHA SMITH on February 25, 1917.²²⁹⁰ She was born June 17, 1900 in Georgia,⁴⁵⁶ and died December 7, 1996 in Floyd County, Georgia.³⁷ She is buried in Kingston City Cemetery, Bartow County, Georgia.⁴⁵⁶

Mr. Rogers

KINGSTON — Gordon Thomas Rogers, 97, Johnson Street, died Wednesday evening at a Rome hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Rogers was born in Bartow County, Oct. 3, 1888, son of the late James Douglas Rogers and Mattie Irene Hargress Rogers. He was a member of Kingston Lodge No. 394, a shriner and member of Scottish Rite Temple. Prior to retirement, he was employed by L&N Railroad as a telegraph agent. He was a member of Kingston Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Oletha Smith Rogers, to whom he was married Feb. 25, 1917; nieces and nephews.
