ROUSH-STAMBAUGH.

A quiet, but very pretty wedding ceremony was performed last evening at 8 o'clock by Rev. H. B. Wile, pastor of the First Lutheran church when he united in marriage George P. Roush, of Dickinson township, and Miss Clara M. Stambaugh, of West Louther street, at the home of the bride, who is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Stambaugh and a popular young lady. She is a sister of John A. Stambaugh, of the firm of Stambaugh & Smith. About 60 guests were present and after hearty congratulations an elegant repast was partaken of.

Mrs. Clara May Roush, wife of George Roush, died Sunday at her home in Boiling Springs from heart trouble, aged 47 years. She was a loving wife and mother and a member of St. John's Lutheran church of Boiling Springs. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Esta and Alma at home; sister, Miss Lura Stambaugh, and brothers, Clarence P. and John A. Stambaugh, of Carlisle. Funeral services will be held at her home at two o'clock Wednesday morning; interment at Churchtown.

George P. Roush

George P. Roush, RD6, Carlisle, died last evening at the Carlisle Hospital at the age of 83. He was born Mar. 8, 1871, in Cumberland County, the son of the late John W. and Myria Peffer Roush. He retired from farming in 1921. He had worked for the William B. Barnitz warehouse, later known as the Paul Sunday warehouse. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of Boiling Springs, of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, and the men's class of the Sunday School.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harold Wise, RD6, Carlisle, with whom he made his home, and Mrs. Phillip Wise, RD6, Carlisle; two step-sons, Frank Hare, Carlisle, and Paul Hare, Harrisburg; two sisters, Mrs. Amy Rockey, RD4, Carlisle, and Miss Jessie Roush, Mt. Holly Springs; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, seven step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the J. R. Shulenberger Funeral Home, 169 West High Street. Dr. Harold Dunkelberger, Gettysburg Seminary, will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the funeral home.

Esta R. Wise

Esta Roush Wise, 79, Lydia Baird Home, 175 E. High St., died Thursday in Carlisle Hospital.

She was born in Dickinson Township, was the widow of Philip E. Wise, was a 1919 graduate of Carlisle High School, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs, the adult Bible class of the Sunday school, the Golden Age Clubs of Carlisle, Mount Holly Springs and Boiling Springs, and Farm Women's Group 4.

Surviving are a son, Glenn E. Wise, 14 Chestnut Drive; a daughter, Glenna W. Trimmer, RD1; a sister, Anna Wise, RD1 Boiling Springs; and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 N. Hanover St. The Rev. Sterlen S. Sheaffer and the Rev. Richard F. Shreckhise will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from noon until time of services.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs.
