Stambaugh

Daniel F Stambaugh, a well known and highly respected citizen of Carlisle for about 20 years, died at three o'clock Sunday afternoon, of a complication of diseases, aged 77 years, at his home on West Louther street. Mr. Stambaugh was a kind and loving husband and father, and a good citizen. He was a retired farmer, having formerly lived at Williams' Grove.

He was a member of the First Lutheran church. Besides his sife, who is now confined to by by illness, he is survived by the following children: Clarenct P. Stambaugh, Misses Maggie and Laura a home, Mrs. George P. Roush, of Barnitz, and John A. Stambaugh, the well known hatter. The following sisters survive, Mrs. E. J. Hoover, Mechanicsburg, Mrs. Jacob Kurtz, near Sporting Hill, Mrs. Isaac Deardorf, Mechanicsburg, and Miss Margaret Stambaugh of Carlisle. Funeral Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, interment at Mt. Zion Churchtown.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend without further notice.

FUNERAL OF D. F. STAMBAGUH

The funeral of Daniel F. Stambaugh, West Louther street, was held this afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. G. M. Diffenderfer officiating. The pallbearers were A. N. Stecher, A. A. Line, Edward Miller, T. Grove Tritt, M. F. Hummel, and Lemuel S. Fought. Interment was at Mt. Zion, Churchtown, the funeral party going by trolley. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful.

MRS. SARAH STAMBAUGH DEAD

Passed Away at Early Hour This Morning

Mrs. Sarah Stambaugh, a highly respected and much esteemed citizen of Carlisle, died at her home on West Louther street, at 5:15 this morning, of a complication of diseases, aged 73 years. She had been ill about 7 weeks. Mrs. Stambaugh was the widow of Daniel Stambaugh, who died three months ago. She resided in Carlisle 18 years. She was a loving Christian mother, a consistent member of the First Lutheran church, and of the Home Department of the Sunday school, and a kind neighbor.

Five children survive, Clarence P. and John A., of Carlisle, Mrs. Clara Roush, of Barnitz, and Misses Maggie and Lura, at home. Benjamin Plank, of Carlisle, and Peter Plank, of Mechanicsburg, are brothers. Her funeral will take place Monday afternoon, interment at Mt. Zion, Churchtown. Friends and relatives are invited to attend without further notice.
