DAVID E. SCOTT, son of MASSY ELLEN WIGGINS and FRANCIS NEWTON SCOTT, was born November 30, 1855 in Connersville, Fayette, Indiana,⁶¹⁹ and died March 18, 1923 in New Paris, Jefferson Township, Preble, Ohio.⁶¹⁹ He is buried in Earlham Cemetery, Richmond, Wayne, Indiana.^{89, 619, 1125}

He married (1) CAROLINE V. SIPPY on November 29, 1882 in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana,¹⁶⁷⁵ daughter of REBECCA FLEMING and JAMES SIPPY. She was born in 1855 in Ohio.

He married (2) NANNIE HUDGINS on July 2, 1896 in Clark County, Indiana.¹⁶⁷⁵ She was born in 1882 in Ohio, and died after March, 1923.

Word was received here yesterday of the death of David E. Scott, which occurred at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at his home in New Paris, O. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

David Scott is buried with his father, Francis Newton Scott. His epitaph is on the side of his father's pillar.
