Miss Thompson Becomes Bride of Theron Staley

Miss Willie Macey Thompson became the bride of Theron Staley at 9 o'clock Sunday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Staley, parents of the groom, 2894 Wilbarger Street. Rev. J. M. Perry read in impressive ring ceremony. The couple was unattended.

The bride was lovely in a beautiful sugar cane georgette dress with accessories to match.

An informal reception followed the ceremony at Mr. and Mrs. Staley's home after which the bride and groom left for a wedding trip to Colorado, where they will spend to weeks. They will make their home in Vernon.

Mrs. Staley was formerly of Ennis, Texas, but for the past two years has been making her home in Vernon where she was employed at a local hospital.

Mr. Staley is a prominent and long time resident of Vernon. He is a graduate of the local high school, and attended Clarendon College, and West Texas State Teachers College.

Those present at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Staley, parents of the groom, Gwendolyn and Merle Staley brother and sister of the groom, Mrs. P. H. Blankenship and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Staley, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Green, Mrs. Eva Williams, Misses Mary Robinson, Louise Pickens, Leta Williams Estelle Williams, and Celta Green, and Travis Rogers.
