Death of an Aged Man.

At the advanced age of eighty-two years Peter Stambaugh passed away at an early hour this morning at his home near Williams' Grove, in Monroe township. He had been ill for some time and his death is the result of a general breaking dwon of the system.

Mr. Stambaugh was a native of York county and removed to Cumberland when quite young. He was a prominent farmer and for many years owned and conducted a farm near Wlliams' Grove. A year ago he retired from the farm, having sold it to Eli Hertzler, and removed to another property situated but a short distance from Williams' Grove. The deceased was a member of the Reformed Church. In his business dealings he was upright and was much beloved by his neighbors. A son, Daniel Stambaugh, of near New Kingston, and several daughters survive him.
