Dover, Sept. 16.—Miss Helen R. Spangler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Spangler, Dover, became the bride of Roman E. Stambaugh son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey c. Stambaugh, Dover R. D., in a ceremony performed in their home, Dover R. D. 1, at 8:20 o'clock, Saturday evening. Rev. W. I. Kauffman, Manchester, Md., a former pastor of the Dover United Brethren charge, performed the single ring ceremony.
The bride was attired in blue and white with a corsage of pink roses. The bride's mother wore old rose and the grooms mother blue. They had shoulderettes of gardenias.

DOVER — Arlene S. Miller, daughter of Mrs. Emma Frantz, Dover RD 5, and Roman E. Stambaugh, son of Harvey Stambaugh, Dover RD 1, were married at 4:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 4 in Zion United Church of Christ, Womelsdorf.
Rev. Dr. Roy W. Limbert, formerly of Dover, now pastor of that church, officiated. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gross, Dover.
Mr. and Mrs. Stambaugh will reside at Dover RD 5. The bride is a first grade teacher at Weigelstown Elementary school and Mr. Stambaugh is a service engineer with L. B. Smith, Inc.

Dover — Mrs. Helen R. Stambaugh, teacher in the Dover elementary school system for 25 years, died at 5:05 p.m. yesterday at York hospital. She was 50.
Mrs. Stambaugh, wife of Roman E. Stambaugh, was a graduate of William Penn Senior High school, York, and Shippensburg State Teachers' college. She also attended Elizabethtwon college. Mrs. Stambaugh also was a former employe of Dover National bank. She was a member of Dover Reformed church, King's Daughters class of the Sunday school and the Women's guild of the church.
Surviving, besides her husband, are her mother, Mrs. Anna V. Spangler, and a sister, Grace L. Spangler, both of here.
Funeral sevices will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Dover Reformed church. The pastor, Rev. Dr. Roy W. Limbert, will officiate. Interment will be in Salem Union cemetery.

DOVER — Roman E. "Mike" Stambaugh, 73, of 3560 Willow Road, died Monday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Arlene Miller Stambaugh.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Dover United Church of Christ, with burial in Salem Union Cemetery.

Arlene Miller Stambaugh, 92, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2005, at Dallastown Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Miller and Roman E. "Mike" Stambaugh.
She was born April 8, 1912, in Egypt, Pa., a daughter of the late Anson and Emma (Klein) Frantz.
Arlene retired in 1977 following 38 years of teaching in Lehigh and York County elementary schools. She was a member of Dover United Church of Christ where she was a former choir member. She was a member of Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees; Starlight Chapter #508 Order of the Eastern Star; Dover AARP; Strand Capitol Theatre; Dover Township Fire Department; Union Fire & Hose Co. #1, Dover, and Dover Pleasant Acres Auxiliary. Arlene volunteered at Dover Area Community Library. She was a graduate of Kutztown and Millersville Universities.
Mrs. Stambaugh is survived by three daughters, Sieglinde Uffelman of York, Ladora Gross of Dover and Shonna Meiser of Lexington Park, Md.; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday at Dover United Church of Christ, 45 W. Canal St., Dover. The visitation will follow the service. Burial will be private in Jefferson Cemetery. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Michael Loser. Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover, is in charge of arrangements.
